Zambelli and Stefano Conia, he attended Sesto Rocchi\u2019s laboratory; later he continues his apprenticeship in the workshop of Joseph Curtin and Gregg Alf.Estabilished in Genoa in 1987, Alberto colaborates since 1994 to the preservation of the \u2018Cannone\u2019, the famous violin of Guarneri del Ges\u00f9 owned by Niccol\u00f2 Paganini, property of the City of Genoa.<\/p>\n

In 2001 a copy of his made of the ‘Cannone’ was included in the last Ruggiero Ricci’s recording, ‘The legacy of Cremona’ in which the virtuoso plays a selection of contemporary violins.<\/p>\n

In 2004 together with Bruce Carlson and Pio Montanari, he attend the violin of Paganini\u2019s refurbishment also called the \u2018Historical Recover\u2019: modern accessories mounted on the Cannone about 50 years ago were removed from the violin in favour of exact replicas of the fittings originally used by Niccol\u00f2 Paganini. The work is the result of Alberto\u2019s intense researches in civic and private genoese archives and it was based on an in-depth analysis of the technical and organological features of the violin of Paganini (see\u00a0Strad October 2004<\/a>).[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][mk_page_section bg_image=”https:\/\/www.giordanoviolins.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/giordano-violins-violini-viole-violoncelli-genova-paganini-portrait-01.jpg” attachment=”fixed” bg_position=”center center” bg_repeat=”no-repeat” bg_stretch=”true” adaptive_height=”true” max_height=”500″ min_height=”300″ full_width=”true” padding_top=”0″ padding_bottom=”0″ margin_bottom=”50″ sidebar=”sidebar-1″][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/mk_page_section][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text margin_bottom=”50″ css=”.vc_custom_1578527523630{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Member in juries of violin making competitions, a scholar of italian violinmaking, Alberto has scored a number of\u00a0articles, essays, books<\/a>; he was invited as a speaker in lectures in China, United Kingdom, France, Norway.<\/p>\n

He has collaborated with the check coreographer Jiri Kylian for the opening of the new\u00a0Norwegian Opera and Ballet Theatre in Oslo<\/a>\u00a0creating and making a serie of musical instruments for the opening ballet show \u201cWorlds Beyond<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n

In March 2015 he took the Master Degree with honours and ‘publication recommended’ in History of Art at the University of Genova, Faculty of Letters and Philosophy<\/p>\n
