Alberto Giordano&C. - Fine violins, violas and cellos in Genoa

Ciao Yuta!

Yuta with a cello After six years of collaboration Alberto's assistant Yuta Takahashi is going back to Japan.

During these years Yuta has become a skilled restorer, a careful sound regulator and a fine cello maker as well: now it's time for him to open his own workshop in Tokyo.

The collaboration started in early 2001 and since then Alberto and Yuta dedicated themselves to the study of the ancient making system, to the study of the proportional relationships of the violin family instruments and to the analysis of the Cannone, the violin of Paganini: Yuta gave a great support for the refurbishment work (undertaken in 2004 together with Bruce Carlson and Pio Montanari) in preparing drawings, making casts of the accessories and assisting the general organization.

Yuta, Alberto, MatteuThe collaboration is not definitely over: Yuta will come back to Genova periodically for more restoration works, more stuying, more making...
